On an Airbag harness, it is very important to check:
- that the Airbag fabric has not become porous! If so, the protection can be reduced to zero!!!! The air can “leak” through all the pores of the fabric in case of shock. And there are no remedies other than replacing the Airbag or the harness!!!
- that the rod holding the Airbag is not twisted. The volume of the Airbag can be reduced. The air inlet and check valve may be incorrectly positioned. If so, the protection may be reduced to zero!!!! Fortunately, there are inexpensive remedies: straighten or replace the rod!
We test your Airbag for FREE with a blower and measure the internal overpressure.
We don’t want you flying under the illusion of being protected!
Reminder
The harness must be checked every 2 years. Who does it?
The Airbags that we scrapped were more than 6 years old, but we do not know since when the protection was no longer sufficient…
