Speedbar

This is a very little-known advantage: a cocoon harness is very convenient to accelerate!

The performance of paragliders in accelerated flight is extraordinary. EN-C sails fly at more than 60 km/h (BGD CURE 2). The EN-B sails go a little slower but today all have great stability with an excellent glide.

In a cocoon harness (Speedbag), the accelerator is stretched by elastics towards the foot plate. The first bar of the accelerator is positioned about 30 cm from the bottom of the Speedbag.

All you have to do is step back a little to catch the first rung.

You can accelerate for a few seconds, then release the bar, take it back…
It’s much easier than with a classic harness!
