Practice which consists in “scraping the ass” on the ground as quickly as possible by making turns and other jokes… to have fun flying, what better!

The word Wagga was most probably coined by Sébastien Bourquin, precursor of paragliding acrobatics in the early 1990s.
I was then in charge of the European competition team of the Japanese brand FALHAWK which won many competitions against AILES de K and ITV, the big brands of the time.
Sébastien was the main member of this team which also counted as other young prodigies: Richard Gallon, Patrick Lachat, Olivier Nef…
The definition of waggas by Sébastien Bourquin
Waggas are acrobatic figures performed close to the ground in a dynamic current.
▪ 360 on the ground
▪ hand touching the ground
▪ stabilo touching the ground
▪︎ etc.
and not just wingover!
