To check the fabric of your paraglider, we hang it from the trailing edge. This allows us to take advantage of the opportunity to remove the impurities that weigh it down: leaves, twigs, stones, insects, children’s toys, etc.
We shake the trailing edge where the undesirable elements are concentrated, then the whole glider’s rope to make the impurities go down to the leading edge. We then turn over each box to clear it.
It is very difficult to empty the cells without suspending the glider… The emptying “hatches” with or without velcro located at the stabillos allow us to remove (with difficulty!) some stones, but not much more…
Anecdote
We removed more than a kilogram of sand from a NIVIUK KLIMBER (a light wing!) that had flown on the Dune du Pilat!
