The world is becoming more complex!
At the beginning of paragliding, there were only 2 producers of fabric and 2 different qualities. There are now dozens of paragliding fabric references and sometimes the 2 faces are not the same.

There are even fabrics where you can not stick anything!

Fortunately, they are (a priori) not used for the intrados where registration and advertising markings stick.

These “not stickable” fabrics are very boring in case of tear because they can only be repaired sewing !

NUMBERS & ADVERTISING MARKINGS

3 very different self-adhesive materials are used for our registrations (FSVL, ULM…) and also for advertising markings.

INSIGNIA

It is a sturdy sticker with a permanent glue used to mark boat sails.

It resists everything and is unfortunately very difficult to remove… It’s annoying when you sell your paraglider.

The INSIGNIA is a little thick and a little heavy, but it sticks well on many fabrics, but not all…

VINYL

This material has been tested on our demonstration paragliders for several years. It is easy to remove without leaving traces !!

Our VINYL is thin and light. It is ideal for all PORCHER/ SKYTEX and MYUNGJIN fabric references.

It also stick to the fabric DOMINICO

  • D 10 or N 10, used especially for the intrados of ADVANCE PI 3 and NIVIUK KODE P
  • 10 DSF widely used by AIR DESIGN

It does not stick to other DOMINICO fabrics.

STRONG

Only solution for SOL paragliders made with a particular fabric, the GELVENOR Wtx40 and 36.

REPAIRS

Our VINYL and STRONG are not materials intended for repair, because they do not have enough mechanical strength.

INSIGNIA may be suitable, but it is thick and heavy. In addition, it does not exist in many colors and white is very opaque …

To repair a tear, we most often use glued paragliding fabric (adhesive Ripstop fabric) which is also used in manufacturing to strengthen certain parts.

Of course, depending on the case, we must intervene in sewing and sometimes replace complete pieces of fabric…
