If the equipment is considered to be in good condition, the parachute has been ventilated and folded for less than 12 months, and the system is properly installed, there is still a risk that the parachute container will be incorrectly closed, and the parachute will unexpectedly open during flight! This can of course have serious consequences…
- Check before each flight that the parachute container is properly closed and that the handle is in place.
Checking the correct positioning of the pins is generally planned and easy (direct view or transparent windows).
