I will shock…
It is absolutely useless…
- to carefully fold his paraglider
- to perfectly align the rods in a magnificent folding bag
- avoid sand at all costs…
if it is to finally store your wet equipment!
We have never declared unfit for flight a paraglider that is regularly badly folded or even dirty. We have never refused a paraglider damaged by sand!
All paragliders that we declare unfit for flight are really used a lot. In very rare cases, it was UV exposure that affected tear resistance.
In the vast majority of cases, the fabric is prematurely aged by humidity, which affects the hold of the fabric in the bias and its porosity.
A wing with high porosity is declared unfit for flight.
Enemy #1 is humidity!
Dry your equipment thoroughly before storing it.
Also avoid exposing your paraglider unnecessarily to UV rays. Place it in the shade as soon as possible, also to dry it out!
