CONTROL | At least every year!

Your paragliding requires maintenance to maintain all its qualities.

Of course, we need to replace the damaged lines and repair the tears, but we also need to follow:

  • The state of the tissue (porosity)
  • The strength of the lines
  • Trimming which is the total length of the lines and which must remain in accordance with the measures of the approval.

Of course, in case of intensive use (acro, tandem, school…), you even need to control 2x more often!

Check the owner’s manual or the label of your paraglider, but most often they indicate the same thing for 30 years… and in our opinion, it is no longer adapted to the characteristics of today’s excellent paragliders.

ATTENTION

A trimming measurement is highly recommended from a few dozen flying hours!
Especially if it is a LIGHT paraglider, the trimming is often already out of tolerance and therefore out of approval!

The materials are of course of excellent quality, but there is a lower quantity than in the past.

But it’s not just a matter of quantity of material….

The connections (risers/lines/canopy) tighten on the A and B, while they remain relaxed on the other rows. The trimming becomes “slower”.
